Finding New Inspiration

Maybe it makes sense that you first have a couple of blah and boring days before you are hit with new inspiration.

I feel i have lost a lot of time on nothing most part of this week. Not a good thing. I'm relieved that i am currently hit with new creative ideas and some fun projects to work on. Guess this was just one of those weeks that i wasn't really satisfied with myself. If i would have had a boss, he or she would definitely raised an eyebrow this week. Like, Issey, what's up? Lost your groove?

I think what changed it around was when i started re-organizing my desk and craft supplies. I like a good amount of nicknacks around for inspiration, but when it gets too much and it also gets messy it is cluttering. Cleaning up feels like uncluttering my mind. And going trough my supplies brings a lot of new ideas.
So there's not much to tell besides that i'll be doing some more re-organizing in search of order and inspiration.

What do you do when in need of inspiration?

Ah it's great you have some new inspiration!

sometimes I feel like I have a creative block, then, like you, I have a tidy and find some old supplies and get hit with ideas of new ways to use them. Either that, or, I have a sketch book with some collages in from college, like what you do, and look at them to ket some inspiration.

Look forward to seeing your new projects

Hello! I am a long-time admirer of your blog/shop/flickr. Just to let you know that even though you are having a creative block, it's not in vain. There are people out there (like me) who look forward to seeing your new creations and wish you success on your creative endeavor. Enjoy your block, think of it as brain-rest, you know that when you recover your brain will be fresh and ready to create new exciting things.

I totally know this feeling. I was certainly going through that these past few weeks. Reading about how I'm not the only one, and seeing how you're dealing, is inspiring!

Oooh, do I know the feeling! Alot of times I just over-work myself. I find that stepping away usually does the trick for me. Or if I'm stuck on a project...I put it away in my 'special' file and come back to it later when I find it tugging at me to finish it. :)

We all get in a funk sometimes and cleaning out your craft room always makes everyone feel better. You make beautiful things, so I'll be waiting to see your next project.
